Reopened in 2023 after extensive renovations, Dibaajimogamig, which signifies 'the place where stories are told' in Anishinaabemowin, stands as a testament to our commitment to providing an exceptional learning and community engagement environment.

Dibaajimogamig is not just a lecture theatre; it's a fully equipped modern lecture and performance space designed to cater to the diverse needs of our students, faculty, and the community. Here are some of the key features:

  • Immersive Learning Environment: An innovative design that supports interactive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Comfortable Seating: Ergonomically designed seats with built-in power outlets for convenience.
  • Accessibility: Fully accessible space to ensure inclusivity for all attendees.
  • High-Capacity Venue: The theatre accommodates 176 attendees, with 149 fixed seats, 27 loose seats, and 6 designated wheelchair spots.

Their contributions have enabled us to create a dynamic space that supports learning, innovation, and community engagement. Dibaajimogamig Lecture Theatre can comfortably accommodate around 180 attendees. This capacity allows us to host a wide range of events, from lectures and presentations to special gatherings, ensuring a space that meets the needs of our students, faculty, and community.

The lecture theatre is equipped with the following advanced audio-visual features:

  • Barco 4K Cinema level projector
  • 7.1 surround sound audio system
  • HDMI hookups for built-in lectern computer and guest devices
  • 4K Blu-Ray player
  • Wireless handheld and lapel microphone systems
  • Assistive listening system
  • Easy to use Crestron control interface for room lighting
  • LED stage lights including robotic lights
  • Multi-room camera system with TriCaster camera control suite
