Join us for the Distance Education Orientation: Tuesday, September 3rd!

A New Student Orientation will be held online on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.  A link to the Orientation sessions will be sent to you via your college email.  

The morning session will feature a program-specific orientation led by your Program Coordinator, where you'll receive essential details to start your college experience. In the afternoon, the Distance Education Student Orientation, conducted online by the Distance Education staff, will acquaint you with Blackboard and other college systems, providing crucial support for your learning journey. Keep an eye on your college email for further updates.

Synchronous Programs

If you do not see your program listed here, orientation information will be provided to you during your first few days of classes. 

Asynchronous Programs

 

Distance Education Student Orientation Session Link – Tuesday, September 3rd at 1:30 pm EST

 

The first day of classes for synchronous programs will be on September 4, 2024.

The first day of classes for online learning/asynchronous programs will be on September 10, 2024.

Transfer Credits

If you have taken post-secondary courses at another institution, you may be eligible for transfer credits that may exempt you from courses within your program.  Your transcript and detailed course outlines will be required, please contact us right away to get this process started.

Register for Classes

Remember, tuition must be paid in order to register for your classes.  Payments can be made online with a credit card or at the campus. Registration for classes for full-time students is completed online.

To register:

  1. Log into MyCampus at https://portal.confederationcollege.ca.
  2. Enter your Username (e.g. ‘jdoe’ – be sure to type your username in lowercase) and Password provided in your acceptance package.
  3. Next, select “Banner SSB Information System” (icon of a black laptop) under the ‘LaunchPad’ section.
  4. Select “Postsecondary Web Registration” and follow the onscreen instructions to complete your registration.
  5. Having difficulties? Come see us.

Entrance Awards

Entrance Awards are open to all full-time students entering into the first semester of a post-secondary program at Confederation College in September 2023.  The application is available through the SSB-Confederation College Self Service Banner System.

  1. Log into MyCampus at https://portal.confederationcollege.ca.
  2. Enter your Username (e.g. ‘jdoe’ – be sure to type your username in lowercase) and Password provided in your acceptance package.
  3. Next, select “Banner SSB Information System” (icon of a black laptop) under the ‘LaunchPad’ section.
  4. Click Answer a Survey
  5. Click Entrance Award Application 2024

Some applicants may be required to provide supporting documentation.  Documents can be submitted to the Financial Aid department by fax (we can do this for you if you bring the documents to the campus office).  The deadline for the Entrance Award Applications and submission of any required supporting documentation is September 20, 2024, at 4:30 pm. Award recipients will be notified in writing at the end of September. Funds will be applied to the student’s account in the event that fees are outstanding. Awards cannot be deferred or transferred.
