Course Reserves at the College Library

Find Course Reserves

The Reserve collection consists of material that instructors set aside for their students as a supplement to their class lectures. The items in this collection may be borrowed for short periods of time only – either 2 hours or one day.

To locate a physical item that an instructor has placed on reserve in the library:

  • Search the library catalogue for either the instructor's name, course code, or course name. Click the magnifying glass.
  • Select "Course Reserves" from the dropdown menu that appears after the looking glass icon.
  • Note the call number that has been assigned to the item
  • Ask for the item by its call number at the 2nd floor Library desk
  • Present your photo I.D. card to the staff

  • Go to eReserves for Students and look for your course code.

For Faculty

The library offers a special reserve service to faculty. If there is physical material (your own or library items) that you would like your students to access in order to supplement your class lectures:

  • Bring it to the Library's 2nd floor desk (if the items are in the library's collection, supply the titles to staff and these items will be pulled for reserve)
  • Fill out a Reserve Request Form.

The staff will place these items into the Reserve Collection and students can search for them in the library catalogue under your name, the course code, or your course name.

If you would like to put an electronic resource on eReserve please fill out this eReserves Request Form. Students will be able to search for them through the eResources Program Guide finalized by library staff.
