Articulation Agreements

Confederation College students have the opportunity to continue their education and transfer to other post-secondary institutions across Canada and Australia.

Confederation College has agreements in place that permit credits that are earned in certain programs to be transferred to programs at other colleges and universities. This allows our students to gain advanced standing in a wide variety of programs.

University degree graduates also have the opportunity to come to college to apply their learning. Agreements also apply to high school students moving to college to recognize the learning that has occurred.

NOTE: With the changing nature of education and training programs, and the right of institutions to alter their agreements and policies, you are advised to contact the appropriate Admissions Office at the partner institution and with our college to ensure that the provisions stated below are still supported by our college and partner institutions.

You are not limited to the pathways/degree completion opportunities listed in the Confederation College Articulation Agreement Database, or ONTransfer.ca You are welcome to apply to the university and program of your choice and credit transfer will be assessed according to the general transfer policy of the receiving institution.     General Arts Transfer:

    The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Lakehead University-Thunder Bay campus enables qualified graduates of Confederation College’s General Arts and Science 2-year diploma program, with a minimum average of 70%, to be considered for admission into the third year of the Bachelor of Arts (General Major) provided they have completed at least two (2) one-semester courses of advanced academic content.

    All applicants must complete two (2) university-level full credits during the spring/summer term at Lakehead University.

    ​Delivered collaboratively by the University and the College, the Collaborative Program is a baccalaureate program and as such must meet the requirements and standards normally imposed on BScN programs that are delivered collaboratively in the Province of Ontario.

  • Lakehead University - Concurrent BA/Bed programs

    Available for these programs
    Early Childhood Education

    ​Lakehead agrees to accept into second year of the Concurrent BA/Bed programs for graduates who have a 3.5 GPA in the final year of the ECE Diploma program. Students admitted to Concurrent Bachelor will receive 5.0 FCEs of advance credit. A minimum of ten spaces will be reserved for applicants covered by this agreement.

    Graduates of Confederation College's 2-year Environmental Technician diploma program will be given non-transferrable credit for one year (5 full course equivalents) to Lakehead University's Honours Bachelor of Science (Water Resource Science major) degree program. Entrance requirement – 70% or 3.0 from College.
