Terms and Conditions

Confederation College offers communications to groups that wish to receive it, with the objective of sending relevant and timely information via SMS text message. The content contained within the message includes information, reminders, and opportunities.

By subscribing to CollegeTxt, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.

You represent that you are eighteen years of age or older and are responsible for the billing charges to the wireless number you are subscribing. If you are not the person responsible for paying your wireless service bill, you represent that you have the bill payer's permission to subscribe to CTIA mobile content alerts, regardless if there are usage charges or not.

How to Subscribe

If you wish to join or re-subscribe to CollegeTxt mobile alerts, you may do so anytime by texting Confed to 54500

Frequency

You may receive up to 3 SMS messages per week

Billing

There is no charge from Confederation College to receive SMS messages. Depending on the wireless plan you subscribe to, you may incur message and data rate charges from your wireless carrier by receiving these alerts. See your wireless plan or contact your wireless provider for details.

Supported Carriers

SMS messaging is supported by Tbaytel, Bell, Rogers, Telus, Fido, MTS, and Sasktel.

Getting Help

To get help, email Confederation College Advancement and Communications or call our support number at 807-475-6129. From your mobile phone, you can request contact information at any time by texting HELP to 54500.

This is not a premium service, and as such, we do not issue cash refunds and are unable to credit your mobile phone bill.

How to Opt Out

You may unsubscribe from receiving our mobile content alerts at any time.

To stop receiving alerts, text the word STOP to 54500. Upon unsubscribing, you will receive a single text message confirming your successful opt-out. After that, you will not receive any additional messages from CollegeTxt mobile campaign unless you re-subscribe.

Technical and Other Limitations

Confederation College and our providers are not responsible for problems outside their control. For instance, our mobile alerts may not be delivered:

  • if the recipient declines delivery
  • if the recipient's phone cannot display video or picture messages
  • if the recipient's message plan does not provide video or picture messaging
  • if the recipient's carrier is unable to deliver the messages
  • if the network connection is interrupted during message delivery
  • if the recipient's carrier does not support video or picture messaging

There may be other reasons for a delivery failure as well.
