Innovation in Teaching Award Recipient 2020

cWe are pleased to announce that Brett Sharman is the 2020 recipient of the Innovation in Teaching Award.

Brett teaches out of the Thunder Bay campus in the School of Business, Hospitality & Media Arts. He has adapted Team-Based Learning (TBL) into his teaching methods. The approach behind TBL has enabled his students to use a “learn by doing” process; which focuses on the use of applied activities, making the learning procedure more fun and appealing.

The student feedback regarding the TBL process has been overwhelmingly positive, resulting in higher grades and increased attendance. We want to offer our salutations to Brett on this award and look forward to seeing his teaching methods further evolve.
