Safeguarding Belongings (SAFE Campass)
Property Protection
- Don’t leave your belongings unattended … even briefly.
- Lockers are available for rent in the Shuniah, McIntyre and Aviation Centre of Excellence (ACE). Remember not to share your lock combination with anyone; keep your locker locked – even in change rooms.
- Do not share your locker combinations with others.
- Do not loan your keys. Report missing, lost or stolen keys immediately to Security at 922.
- Keep your vehicle locked while on campus. Remove valuable items from the vehicle, or lock them in the trunk of your vehicle.
- Lock offices or residence rooms, even if you are stepping away only briefly. Keep your keys with you: lanyards or wrist coils are useful, if you tend to forget your keys. Do not prop your office door open when you are away.
- Minimize the number of valuables, including valuable personal documents, which you carry with you: cash, credit or debit cards, jewellery, electronics, birth certificates, passports, etc.
Lost and Found
- Lost an item? Check the lost and found at Security: Shuniah, Room 142.
- Found an item? Drop it off at the Security lost and found: Shuniah Room 142; at the Computer Services Help Desks at Shuniah and McIntyre; or, at the main offices at Dorion, McIntyre, ACE, the Fitness Centre, or Sibley Hall.
