Suspicious Package or Item (SAFE Campus)

If you find or notice a suspicious item, letter or package:

• Do not touch it.
• Do not shake or bump the package. 
• Do not open, smell, examine, touch or taste the package: treat it as suspect.
• Clear the immediate area where the object was discovered.
• From a safe location outside the room in which the object was found, or at a safe distance from an item found in a public place, call Security immediately at 922.
• Provide the following information: 
  • your name,
  • current location,
  • contact phone number,
  • the location of the item,
  • a description of the object, and
  • why you feel it is suspicious (e.g. size; the presence of obvious wires, batteries, sounds; location; etc.).
