Missed Tests - Info for Staff (Testing Centre)

Please see Confederation College's Practices and Procedures related to writing tests at an alternate time in the Testing Centre (PDF).

Missed Tests can be booked by:

  1. A student with your permission will come to the Testing Centre and book a date and time with us to write. Then the student will bring their Test Supervision Form to their instructor for the instructor to fill out, sign, and bring back to the Testing Centre with the student's test.
  2. An instructor will call or come into the Testing Centre and book the test for their student. At that time, the instructor will fill out the Test Supervision Form and give us the test. The instructor will then inform the student of the date and time of their test.
  3. An instructor will drop off a test and fill out a Test Supervision Form without booking a date and time for the student. The instructor then informs the student of their last day to write. It is then the students responsibility to book a time with the Testing Centre that falls within this time period.

We do not let students reschedule their exams past the last date to write provided by the instructor. A student will have to get permission from the teacher for an extension past this date, and we will need to have confirmation of this from the instructor themselves.

Please do not schedule a date and time for a student to write their test without consulting the Testing Centre first, as we cannot guarantee that there will be time and space available for the student to write.

Students with Accommodation Plans may require special arrangements for testing, such as a private room, extended time, assistive technology, and/or proctor support.  Students will book test appointments in the Student Success Office.  For more information, please call the Test Accommodation Facilitator at 475-6560.
