How/Why I Become a Teacher
Working at my dream job as an Integration Facilitator since 2013, I love being part of the Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) team and watching the students achieve their academic goals, leading many students to apply their academic successes to blossoming careers in their own passions.
My Educational Background & Qualifications
After working in various educational settings in Ontario and British Columbia for over 15 years, I moved to Thunder Bay to further my education in the Confederation College Developmental Service Worker program, graduating in 2011. My passion to excel, combined with over a decade of field experience, enabled me to achieve honours in the program.
After graduation, I completed the provincial training for Autism Intervention Program and worked as an Autism Intervention Therapist for 2 years. I continued my education, graduating with honours from the Autism and Behavioral Science program in 2015.
