Steve Robinson has worked in the media industry for over 30 years with highlights that include Technical Producer on Major League Baseball games, Editor on concert videos for bands like Motorhead, Online Editor on JUNO award winning videos for Corey Hart and Gowan and countless award-winning National commercials including a Bud Lite Superbowl spot. Steve was also a founding partner and VP of Operations for one of Canada’s largest post-production companies called TOYBOX which completed visual effects works of feature films like Fight Club and Academy award-winning Chicago.
Steve always kept his connections with his home town of Thunder Bay through chairing the Film/Broadcasting Advisory Council annual meetings he shared his knowledge of the media industry, and offered the media students at Confederation college the 1st paid internship at TOYBOX Toronto. When the opportunity arouse to return to Confederation College to mentor the next generation, of media savvy students, he jumped at the chance. Steve has always believed that Confederation College has provided a great learning environment with the right mix of faculty, facilities and learning environment.
