This survey and risk assessment is being undertaken further to recent amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

The amendments under Bill 168 extend the meaning of a hazard to include “workplace harassment” and “workplace violence”. As with all hazards, it is the responsibility of the College and its supervisors to identify, assess and control these hazards. It is also the responsibility of all workers under the Occupational Health & Safety Act to report these hazards.

INSTRUCTIONS: This survey and risk assessment is not anonymous: we are looking for information that will help us to identify when and where actual and potential workplace harassment and workplace violence hazards exist; to assess the risk associated with the specific hazards that are identified; and to implement workplace-specific control programs to eliminate, or reduce, the exposure to those hazards.
