College's Community Partners' Evening a Success: Raises Over $45,000

THUNDER BAY, ON – October 25, 2023 – Confederation College is thrilled to announce that its Community Partners' Evening held on October 12, 2023, was a resounding success. The event, held at in Ryan Hall at the Shuniah Building, brought together partners, stakeholders, alumni, and community members to celebrate partnership and shared visions for the future of education.
The evening not only served as a platform to recognize the exceptional achievements of the 2023 Premier's Award nominees but also raised $45,675 through a Fund-A-Need auction. The funds will directly benefit the students of the Culinary Management program through a bursary program, furthering its mission of providing high-quality, learner-centered education.
"We are truly humbled by the generosity of our community. The money raised will have a significant impact on our learners and the future of culinary education at our institution," says Rob Zuback, Director of Advancement and External Relations at Confederation College. "Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and participated in making this event a success."
The evening also included delicious gourmet food prepared by the College’s culinary students from locally sourced ingredients. Layne the Auctionista graced the stage and contributed to the lively atmosphere of the evening.
Confederation College extends its gratitude to all who attended the event, donated, and purchased tickets, contributing to the success of the Community Partners' Evening. The College looks forward to hosting similar events in the future, strengthening the partnership with the community, and creating valuable opportunities for its students.
