Confederation College proudly recognized seven exceptional students at its first-ever Spring Formal & Superior Spirit Awards Gala, celebrating their outstanding contributions to campus life and community involvement.
The Superior Spirit Awards were created to honour students who excel beyond academics. From sustainability and student employment to Confed Cares and inclusivity, this year’s finalists demonstrated an ongoing commitment to enriching the student experience and fostering a welcoming, engaged campus environment.
“While our college is committed to providing an exceptional academic experience for every student, we recognize that success goes far beyond the classroom,” said Michelle Salo, President of Confederation College. “Leadership, involvement in campus life, being a positive presence, and upholding our values are all essential. These awards are our way of recognizing and thanking the students who embody that spirit every day.”
The 2025 Superior Spirit Awards recipients are:

“We received more than 100 incredible nominations for these awards. Narrowing down the finalists and selecting the winners was no easy task,” said Robin Gathercole, President of the Student Union of Confederation College Inc. (SUCCI). “We’re proud of each and every student—they help shape the everyday atmosphere on campus and serve as true role models within our student community.”
"Winning this award means so much to me! It's such a meaningful way to wrap up my time at Confederation College," said Geetika Verma, the winner of the SUCCI/OASA Student Leadership Graduate Award. "I'm proud of what I've accomplished here and excited to carry everything I’ve learned into the next chapter."
Confederation College congratulates all nominees, finalists, and winners. Each award recipient received a $250 prize and a certificate in recognition of their achievements.
