Confederation College hosted its annual Career and Job Fair on Tuesday, February 4, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the SUCCI Student Lounge. More than 70 local, regional, and national employers attended, connecting with students and community job seekers throughout the day.
The College’s Career and Job Fair remains vital for students, upcoming graduates, alumni, and job seekers. It provides opportunities for them to connect with employer partners and is designed for all interest levels. This makes it ideal for exploring career pathways and learning about organizations directly from their representatives. The fair also serves as a key networking opportunity for employers seeking to engage with future talent.
“Each year, the Career & Job Fair serves as an invaluable bridge between our students and the workforce,” said Dan Stezenko, Supervisor, Workforce Development at Confederation College. “It’s always exciting to see such strong employer participation, offering a wide range of opportunities for students and graduates as they prepare for the next step in their careers.”
“We’re excited to be part of Confederation College’s career fair, where we can connect with emerging talent, broaden our recruitment pipeline, and support the next generation of CPAs and business advisors in Thunder Bay. We look forward to meeting the leaders of tomorrow,” says Rita Romeo, People and Culture Manager, Doane Grant Thornton.
Close to 2500 students and job seekers attended this year’s Career and Job Fair, engaging with employers and discovering new career opportunities. The strong turnout highlighted the event's importance in connecting talent with workforce needs across various industries.
