Construction Alert - Road & Sewer Work

Road construction Sibley and Keewatin & Shuniah Sewer Line Replacement

Reconstruction of sections of the Sibley and Keewatin roadways will be completed by Thunder Construction as noted. They will be beginning construction as of May 30^th.  You may have noticed, they have already began to set up in the area.  The work is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Access to the College from Balmoral Avenue for traffic and emergency services will be maintained, however the road may be gravel at times.  The Dorion Building yard area will also remain accessible throughout the construction with the exception of when they will be redoing the culvert into the back area.  They will provide advanced notification as to when the work will be required that will make it inaccessible for a short period of time.

East sewer line from the Shuniah building that was causing issues last fall and winter will also be repaired as part of this contract.  More information will be provided on timing when this work closer to being underway. Stantec Engineering is providing site supervision and inspection of work.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Facilities department.
