Cyber Security Awareness Month 2023

Cyber Security Awareness Month is an internationally recognized campaign held each October to help the public learn more about the importance of cyber security. This awareness is important not only for your role as a Confederation College employee and student but also to help protect yourself during personal day to day operations.
This year's theme for Cyber Security Awareness Month 2023 is "Step up your cyber fitness". Cyber fitness is about the ability to identify, react and respond to online threats by taking small and easy steps.

This year’s focus is on the following items:
- Enabling multifactor authentication
- Using strong passwords/passphrases and password managers
- Updating software and devices
- Educating others by spreading the word
