Confederation College is excited to announce our Career Sampler summer camps, designed for youth aged 10-14 to explore future academic and career paths. These camps are packed with fun, hands-on activities and provide a unique learning experience.
The program-themed weeks offer an invaluable opportunity for participants to get a hands-on taste of what they might learn in college and on the job, in a fun, dynamic setting. Last year's camps were a tremendous success, with enthusiastic feedback from both students and parents. Participants learned new skills, made lasting friendships, and gained confidence in their abilities.
Interactive Media Discovery Week
Date: July 15 – July 19
Dive into digital photography, graphic design, 3D animation, and game creation using industry-standard software. Bring your camera, cell phone, or tablet, and sketchbook for a week packed with creativity.
Kitchen Wizards (Waitlisted)
Dates: July 15 – July 18 OR July 29 – August 1
Learn to make delicious and healthy meals from scratch under the guidance of expert chefs. Master fresh pasta, pizza, baking skills, and more in our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities.
Level Up! (Waitlisted)
Date: July 22 – July 26
Perfect for aspiring game developers, this camp introduces the basics of game design. Create your own video games from concept to 3D models and interactive environments.
Filmmaking 101 (New)
Date: July 29 – August 2
Learn the ins and outs of filmmaking. Work in groups to write, film, and edit a short film, culminating in a screening at our campus movie theatre for friends and family.
Wood Works For Trades
Date: August 6 – August 9
Develop skills in woodworking and carpentry in our college workshop. Learn to use various tools and understand different woods through hands-on projects.
Clear for Take Off
Date: August 12 – August 16
Explore aviation at our Aviation Centre of Excellence (ACE). Engage in computer flight simulations, aircraft mechanics, and learn about aerospace career pathways.
