Grade 7/8 College Exploration Evening – Thank You!

The Recruitment team and the School College Work Initiative (SCWI) would like to thank all staff and faculty that participated in the Grade 7/8 College Exploration Evening on Wednesday, June 1.

We welcomed over 240 Grade 7/8 students and their guests to campus for an evening that featured presentations from Jim Keyes, SCWI RPT 11 Coordinator, Marcy Barry and Roger Drcar from the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and Lakehead Public School Board and Amy Fodchuk, Recruitment Officer – SCWI. Guests also enjoyed a delicious dinner from Sodexo staff and an interactive program activity. Students had the opportunity to select an interactive activity from the following programs at Confederation College: Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance, Business – Marketing, Carpentry and Renovation Techniques, Civil Engineering Technician, Dental Assisting – Levels I&II/Dental Hygiene, Developmental Services Worker, Early Childhood Education, Environmental Technician/Forestry Technician: Ecosystem Management, Film Production and Mechanical Engineering.

There has been incredible feedback from the parents and students already! This event would not have been possible without the support of college employees and faculty!
