Heddle Shipyards Job Fair - A Success!

On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the collaborative team of NEW & Career Services hosted a Job Fair for Heddle Shipyards in our new Community Employment Resource Centre. Heddle is hiring for a wide range of skilled trades and management positions as they ramp up their year-round business. 

We had steady traffic throughout the day, keeping the President & HR Manager quite busy with one on one meetings. Overall, the employer was very happy with the turnout and number of individuals with the experience/training they are seeking. It was great to see the Welding students from Confederation College attend with their teachers. They got to meet with the President of Heddle and had a great group discussion. 

Interviews are being arranged for those individuals that left an impression at the Job Fair and job offers going out as well.
