Leadership Thunder Bay Turkey Dinner Drive: shout out to all the folks from Confederation College who pitched in

Having been in Thunder Bay for a few years, I was sort of aware of the turkey drive Matt Villella (Professor in the School of Business, Hospitality and Media Arts, past President of LTB and graduate of the program) organized with Leadership Thunder Bay. In the past I hadn't gotten involved, but this year was different.
Being in the leadership class of 2020-2021 I felt the call. We are the COVID-19 class, meeting in person to start with and as the city and region moved from green and yellow to orange, we switched to virtual learning days. Leadership Thunder Bay is the best way to engage and connect to the city. A year-long journey into the public, private and participatory aspects, the best gift the College could give me (thanks for sponsoring my participation).
Despite the pandemic, the holiday season will be a bit brighter for 100 Thunder Bay families. The LTB Turkey Dinner Drive has raised more than $15,000 since the beginning. This year was the most successful raising $5,230. Thank you to all of the folks from Confederation College who contributed! The drive was sponsored by Shawn's No Frills on Dawson Road, which provides the groceries at cost, along with several other local sponsors.
