We spend about a third of our lives sleeping. Sleep is essential – it is as important to our bodies as eating, drinking, and breathing. And it is vital for maintaining good mental health and wellness. Poor sleep is linked to physical health issues such as irritability, weight gain, increased blood pressure, as well as mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

Sleep problems are common. In fact, one in four people experience sleep difficulties, which include trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep, early morning waking, sleeping too much, or restless or unsatisfying sleep. Often, poor sleep hygiene is related to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.

Getting a good night’s sleep can improve your mental health and wellness and can help you to better manage mental health symptoms. The good thing is, there are things you can do to improve your sleep.

Join us as we discuss simple ways in which you can improve your ‘sleep hygiene’.

Everyone Welcome!
