Open House Returns to Confederation College

THUNDER BAY, ON, November 15, 2022 – Confederation College will host its first-ever Saturday Open House on November 18, for prospective students to learn about college programs, student life and how to finance their education. Holding the event on the weekend allows for mature students, parents and supporters, as well as those in the region and out of town, a chance to attend, making the event more accessible to all types of students.
"We're excited to open our campus to future students and their families," said Alexandra Jones, Manager of Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications at Confederation College. "Our aim is to provide them with a comprehensive view of the opportunities available to them, from academic programs to support services and student life."
The event invites the public to drop in between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and provides the opportunity for visitors to tour through our different learning environments, from media and woodworking shops to simulation labs etc., getting a first-hand look at the student experience. . Faculty and current students will be on hand doing demonstrations and showing you a glimpse into the program. Hourly tours will be available, and students will have the opportunity to speak with program coordinators.
Prospective students and applicants will have the opportunity to learn about Confederation College’s support services, including tutoring, mental health and wellness, as well as Negahneewin Student Services.
Open House will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please register online at confederationcollege.ca/OpenHouse. Students who register and attend the event have the chance to win $1000 towards tuition.
