Student Accessibility Services - Accommodation Plans

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) has begun the process of emailing Accommodation Plans to both full-time and part-time faculty.

Accommodation Plans (AP’s) are confidential documents that outline the specific accommodations/supports for students with disabilities. Accommodations are meant to remove barriers faced by students with disabilities in order to promote their ability to fulfill the academic standards of their courses and participate fully in the learning environment. This is consistent with the provisions outlined in the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Reminders to Faculty:

• If you have a student who reports needing disability accommodations, but you have not received an AP, please refer the student to SAS.
• AP’s may come to you throughout the semester. Students with disabilities have a right to request disability support at any time during the academic year.
• Please reach out to SAS if there are questions/concerns regarding a student’s accommodations.
