Thank you - OCAA

On Saturday, Confederation College and SUCCI hosted the Ontario College Athletics Association Cross Country Running Championships at Lappe Nordic Centre.  

I want to thank everyone involved in the planning and execution of this extraordinary event. The Committee did an excellent job ensuring all visiting colleges had a good time and enjoyed both the race and the banquet. A special thank you to Cross Country Running coaches Paul Inkila and Alain Gosselin as well as Sue Tucker from SUCCI Athletics & Recreation for their hard work in the planning and execution of this successful running championship.  

Finally, I would like to thank all college and SUCCI staff volunteers as well as our students who helped with the event.  It took a lot of work to have the event run smoothly.  Thanks also to Graham Ritchie, our alumnus who spoke about his Nordic skiing achievements at the banquet. 

Congratulations to all runners, especially those on our Thunderhawks Athletics team. We had seven students representing us at the race. It was great to see our students training so hard and competing at the event.  Congratulations to all runners going onto nationals.
