Welcome - Alison Chony

The Purchasing Department is very excited to introduce its newest team member, Alison Chony, in the role of Contract and Procurement Specialist.  Alison brings a wealth of knowledge to the team with over 25 years of purchasing experience in a variety of industries.  In addition to assisting with the College’s purchasing needs, she will also play an integral role in contract review and updating our contract management processes.  Please join us in welcoming Alison! She is located in the Purchasing Department on the 2^nd floor of the Shuniah building and she can be reached at 475-6500.~~~  Twyla Godwin

Hello Everyone!  My name is Alison Chony and I started here at the College in December and I’m thoroughly enjoying meeting everyone (slowly though, due to COVID).  I have been a purchaser and contract manager for the past 25 years.  I began my career at Northern Wood as the Purchasing Manager and then went on to be the Contract Manager at the North West Community Care Access Centre, which later became the North West Local Health Integration Network.  Spending time with my family (husband Kevin and two children Evan and Kaitie), especially travelling, is the best thing in the world to me, but I also love music, comedy and animals.  We have two cats and three guinea pigs.  I look forward to working more closely with everyone in the future.
