Welcome Elise Demeo

Elise Demeo will be joining Confederation College as the Senior Manager, Human Resources and Labour Relations. Elise is a certified Human Resources leader (CHRL) with over 10 years experience in all areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to: labour relations, recruitment and retention, disability management, compensation, health and safety and policy development. Elise most recently worked for Nishnawbe Aski Police (NAPS) as the Director of Human Resources and brings experience from the public and private sectors, union and non-union environments, for profit and non-profit organizations in the areas of: policing, education, health care, social services and telecommunications. She holds an honours bachelor of commerce degree from Lakehead University with a major in Human Resources and a minor in marketing. 

Elise and her husband Jesse are the proud parents of Sophie,  their one-year old daughter. Elise enjoys playing hockey, softball, golf and volleyball in her spare time and has been known to torture her friends’ ears when an opportunity for karaoke arises. 

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Elise is looking forward to working for an organization whose services strengthen the community she loves.
