Welcome Michael Giardetti

I am pleased to announce that Michael Giardetti has accepted the position of Manager, Procurement Services at Confederation College. Michael received his Bachelor of Science – Accounting degree from Saint Francis University, Pennsylvania in 2003 and is a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP).  Michael joins the college having spent the last 11 years working in healthcare strategic sourcing at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) to go along with 9 years of private sector experience in strategic sourcing and financial management across the United States and Western Canada.  In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and staying active.

Further, Financial Services has realigned the accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to report directly to Garrick Sherman.   I would like to thank Garrick as he assumes responsibility for these additional areas.  The change will enhance his role and oversight over the budget-forecast-financial reporting at the College. 

Additionally, special projects in Purchasing, will continue to be delivered by Mary Nucci,  a Procurement Specialist.  With over 25 years of experience in purchasing in both the private and public sector, Mary  is always willing  to share her knowledge, experience and expertise in managing contracts and is always seeking the best value for the College.
