Welcome, Patrick Carr

Please join me in welcoming Patrick Carr, Manager of International Recruitment  at the International Education Centre. Over the past decade, Patrick has dedicated himself to international higher education, gaining invaluable experience and insights along the way. This journey has allowed Patrick to develop a deep understanding of the intricacies and challenges associated with fostering global academic partnerships, recruiting students from a wide range of countries and nurturing cross-cultural collaboration.  For the past six years, Patrick worked as an International Recruitment Officer at Lakehead University,  successfully coordinating Lakehead’s recruitment efforts in Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean.  Prior to that he was an International Student Advisor at Lakehead University International.

Patrick completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lakehead University, and currently, he is on the verge of completing his Master of Arts in Higher Education, Administration, and Leadership from Royal Roads University. Patrick, and his wife, Courtney, recently welcomed their first child, Arthur, in January. Patrick enjoys exploring new destinations and embracing different cultures through travel outside of work. He can be found hiking and camping with his family.
