Welcome to the new and almost complete SkillsAdvance Ontario Healthcare Initiatives team! We are all located in or around the Distance Education offices and are a part of the School of Access and Success. If you're wondering what SkillsAdvance Ontario is or who qualifies for the funding, please wander up and talk to any of our team members.
Joe Donlon is a Program Officer and has been with the college for 18 years and started as a Distance Delivery technician, worked as a Library IT Technician, and faculty support at the Centre for Learning and Teaching. He also worked in Curriculum Design for Ontario Learn and as an instructor for MA444 Advanced Computer Applications.
Jaclyn DaSilva is a Program Officer who began working at Confederation College in 2018. She started working in the Registrar’s Office as a Registration/Financial Aid Officer and then as the Client Service Officer. Jaclyn transitioned into a role in the International Education Centre as the Arrival and Support Officer. In addition, Jaclyn has experience teaching for the Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics program.
Joel Scherban is a Project Supervisor. Joel holds degrees in MSMgt and HBCom from Lakehead University. He worked for three years at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre and Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute as Business Development Officer and as a Research Business Analyst. He is well known for spending three and a half years as the Manager and Head Coach of Lakehead University's Men's hockey team. Prior to coming to the college, Joel worked for 8 years at North West Local Health Integration Network in Performance, Funding and Contract Management roles.
Anthony Lombardo is a Project Supervisor and a Registered Nurse who has spent the last 12 years working in Long Term Care. Anthony was most recently Director of Care and brings a wealth of knowledge, skills and hands-on experience in the health care field to Confederation College.
Andrew Ross is our Regional Project Supervisor who is originally from Thunder Bay but now lives and works in Dryden. Andrew has experience in many sectors of program building, higher education, and health care; including positions as Assistant Dean at the Memphis College of Art, an Ontario Certified Teacher, and most recently as the Research Manager for the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) and Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA).
Alison Warwick is the Project Manager and started with the College in June 2021. She has over 15 years of experience in project management working healthcare system.
