Internal Scholarships, Bursaries & Awards
Confederation College offers a number of financial scholarships, bursaries and awards to students to assist with their educational costs. These are given out based on financial need, academic achievement or extra-curricular/community involvement. On average, student awards exceed $400,000 each year.
Applications will be available in the spring and summer for first-year students. Applications for in-program scholarships, bursaries and awards will be available during the fall semester.
New Requirement for Applications
To streamline the scholarship application process, students are now required to complete a Need Score Sheet as part of Confederation College Awards Portal Program. Follow the instructions to ensure your application is complete and accurate.

MNO Métis Student Bursary Program
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Métis Student Bursary Program provides bursaries to registered students who are verified Métis citizens of the Métis Nation of Ontario. Applicants will be required to consent to a citizenship verification check to confirm eligibility for these awards.

Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship
In response to the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, on April 6, 2022, the province announced a $1.9 million Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship to support students attending Ontario's publicly-assisted colleges and universities.
Four (4) scholarships worth $10,000 will be awarded to individual students from Confederation College based on merit and financial need in the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarship will be available to all students while prioritizing students affected by the conflict in Ukraine and other conflicts.
Eligibility:
- International or Domestic students impacted by the Ukrainian conflict or students impacted by other conflicts around the globe
- Candidates must be enrolled in full- or part-time studies at Confederation College during the 2024-2025 academic year
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must demonstrate merit which includes academic achievement, community service and/or perseverance of dedication to education
