“We were struggling with our son to stay in school. The First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program has inspired him to complete high school and he is excited about post-secondary education. We cannot believe the turnaround in his attitude and we credit the FNNRYEP for achieving this.”
Eagle Lake FN Community writes:
"We have been part of of the Ranger Program for approximately five years and have had several youth be successful at completing the program. ..The youth that have been successful at completing this program are the ones that have an easier time moving away from home to attend a post-secondary program. ...At the end of the summer, you have a more confident, more experienced youth who has become a role model within the community for having completed the program."
Wabigoon First Nation writes:
"The First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program has provided our Aboriginal youth with employment and training opportunities and inspired our youth to be active contributors to Canadian Society. One of our successful youth participants now holds a managerial position with the program, hence providing him with opportunities outside of the First Nation."
