Darlene Giba Memorial Bursary

In memory of our long time colleague Darlene Giba, the College is establishing a memorial bursary for a Human Resources student demonstrating financial need.

Darlene is remembered for her kindness, commitment and unwavering warmth toward the entire College community. Dar was a College employee for 32 years, most notably as part of the Human Resources team; she retired in 2019.

If you wish to contribute to the Darlene Giba Memorial Bursary, you will be helping HR students pursue their educational and career goals, while honoring Darlene’s legacy.

You can contribute in a variety of different ways, please select the way that works best for you. Option 3 is only available to current College employees.

1.    ONLINE - Donations can be made online at:  https://www.confederationcollege.ca/department/advancement/donate   
 
2.    MAIL - Donations can also be made via cheque payable to Confederation College and mailed to: (Please indicate the Darlene Giba Memorial Bursary on the cheque)

3.    CONFEDERATION COLLEGE EMPLOYEES ONLY
Confederation College employees may also contribute to the bursary through payroll deductions (form attached).  
a.    Please add in your home address and phone number. 
b.    Select Other College Area: Darlene Giba Memorial Bursary
c.    Enter the amount you would like to donate. Ie. If you would like to donate $5 per pay period, enter $130, for $10 per pay period, enter $260
d.    Under Payment Options, Choose Per Pay = Continuous Donation (for a deduction from each pay day)  OR Choose Per Pay = Annual Donation (for a one time deduction)
a.    Do not worry if you cannot read the number in the box (the Advancement Department will be able to read it)
a.    Deductions will begin within the following 2 pay periods after your submission. 
e.    Select the Agree to Terms & Conditions box
f.    Once complete, please save and email to [email protected]
