MRT Grad Published in Scientific Journal!

Shaina-Lynn Mack, a 2019 graduate of the MRT program, was recently published in the December 2020 issue of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences. Her article titled, "Eliminating the Stigma: A Systematic Review of the Health Effects of Low-Dose Radiation within the Diagnostic Imaging Department and its Implications for the Future of Medical Radiation" is a literature review of low-dose radiation effects and whether the current radiation exposure limits in the clinical environment should be increased for the sake of higher quality imaging. This paper was her culminating project of the MRT program's RA412 Research Study course.
