New Distance & Continuing Education Staff

Please join me in welcoming new staff to the Distance Education and Continuing Education Departments.

Michelle Woodbeck has accepted the position of Distance Delivery Specialist for Distance Education.

Michelle is no stranger to Distance Education, having worked in the department on a part-time basis for the past 5 years.  Previous to that, she was a Confederation College alumna from the Business – General Program and has worked in the finance, auto and insurance industries.  Michelle loves helping our students and is so excited about this new opportunity!

Carrie Ivardi joins us as the part-time Continuing Education Assistant as a new college employee, and new resident of Thunder Bay.

Carrie has worked in journalism, corporate communications, and as a writer in locations all over Canada. She was an editor for a newspaper in Prince George, BC, a writer for radio in Sudbury, ON, and part of the communications department at Cambrian College. At Memorial University in St. John’s, NL, Carrie was part of a team who helped students with their career development. Carrie is passionate about reading and writing fiction, and is completing her first novel, as her creative thesis for her master’s.

Carrie is thrilled to bring her communications and customer service expertise to Confederation College.
