New Water Filling Stations

Great news, the three water filling stations we have been waiting on delivery for since the summer have finally arrived and our maintenance staff have been busy installing them.

These units are replacing our aging water fountains and will provide our student and staff with additional locations to access and fill their water bottles with filtered water.

This facilities renewal project supports our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including #3, encouraging good health and well-being;  #6, providing clean water and sanitation; and, #12, promoting responsible consumption and production.

Providing ease of access to the water filling stations for reusable water bottles for students and staff on campus also supports the College’s initiative to eliminate single use plastic bottles from campuses.

The first unit that is fully operational is on the first floor of the Shuniah Building near the Golf Links Entrance, just down from Student Success.

There are two additional water filling stations that are going in Ryan Hall.  One unit is fully operational on the east side of the centre pillar and the second is nearly complete on the west side of the cafeteria.
