The IEC is very pleased to welcome Claire Kelly-Orozco in her new role as Manager of International Recruitment.

Claire has over ten years in the field of immigration and international education. She holds a master’s degree in Immigration and Settlement Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University, is a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant, and has most recently worked at Mount Allison University in international recruitment and admissions. She has also worked as a settlement youth worker with the Inter-Cultural Association of Victoria, an advisor for international and exchange students at Mount Allison University, an immigration advisor at NBCC, and worked with the Government of New Brunswick on recruitment and retention of international students. In addition to her Canadian experience, Claire taught English in Japan for two years and travelled to over 40 countries before returning to Canada. She is fluent in French, "a bit rusty" in Japanese, and a beginner in Spanish and Mi'kmaq.

This is Claire's first time living in Thunder Bay, and she and her husband, Eugenio, are very excited to explore the city and region. If you have any recommendations, please do let her know.
