Welcome Peter Myllymaa, Vice President, Finance and Administration

We are pleased to welcome Peter Myllymaa to Confederation College as our new Vice President, Finance & Administration.
A lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, Peter graduated from Lakehead University in 1989 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting. He holds a CPA and CA designation.
Peter is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of leadership experience. He has demonstrated exceptional skills in guiding, facilitating, and partnering with diverse stakeholders, including government entities at all levels. His collaborative approach to problem-solving has been a hallmark of his career. Throughout his tenure, he has overseen strategic initiatives in capital and operational budgeting, clinical support services, and information systems management. His ability to work effectively with internal and external partners showcases his versatility as a leader committed to achieving organizational goals through teamwork and strategic thinking.
Peter brings with him a wealth of experience from the public sector, having worked with the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Research Institute.
In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter, as well as spending time with his family (wife, three daughters, and dog).
