Welcome Renee Drainville

We are so excited to announce our new hire as Full time Faculty for Medical Laboratory Assistant Program, Renee Drainville. Renee has an extensive educational background, with a honor degree in Applied Biomolecular Science, as well as Renee has completed her Medical Laboratory Technologist program at St. Lawerence College. She is very excited to begin her Master of Health Studies this January and continue furthering her educational journey. Renee comes to Confederation College from Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center where she has worked as a MLT for the past 8 years amongst various specialty areas. Teaching is not new to Renee as she has taught in the MLA program previously for the Region and their compressed labs that occur at Thunder Bay campus on weekends and enjoyed this immensely. Renee made the move to the college as she has a true love for teaching students and guiding each and every one of them on their journey to a successful career in healthcare. Renee is excited to be part of our team and begin efforts to bring the MLT program to Confederation College, aiding in the medical lab professionals' shortage in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas.
